TeamSAI provided Project Management support to a new airline certified in December 2007. These activities encompassed the Start-Up and Certification process from inception to launch.

 Step Improvements in MRO Operations

During 2007, the TeamSAI LEAN specialists stimulated significant results in a variety of MRO environments through a number of initiatives including:

A year long project with the first large fleet operator to attempt a full scale LEAN transformation in the line maintenance environment. Aircraft out-of-service times were reduced significantly.
Over the last half of 2007, TeamSAI worked with the production leadership of a component MRO to demonstrate the power of LEAN concepts resulting in dramatic improvements in thrust-reverser repair turn around time.

Effective management of the material flow through a large engine shop is critical to production efficiency, cost control and turn around time. The TeamSAI LEAN experts completed the initial phases of an initiative that is already generating significant results.  Stay tuned, there is more to come.
