Bill Bottoms joined TeamSAI in 1998. He is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
He joined TeamSAI after serving as Chief Operating Officer for Aviation Professionals, Inc., a TeamSAI affiliate. Bill is principally active in TeamSAI's strategic consulting, air carrier certification and its technical support services practices. He has assisted a range of TeamSAI's clients with strategic planning, airline start-up & certification, project engineering, aircraft fleet induction, maintenance programs, project planning and management. His forte is technical operations planning and management with strong experience and knowledge in general management. His principal client activity has included Frontier Airlines/LYNX Aviation, US Airways, Boeing, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, America West Airlines, Lockheed-Martin and UPS.
Prior to joining TeamSAI, Bill had his own consulting practice and for over ten years was a part of the private post-secondary education industry. His specific experience included serving as President and CEO of three aviation maintenance training colleges as well as a commercial arts college. Bill's experience in aviation includes over 15 years in the airline industry where he was a founding officer of New York Air as well as senior operating officer for Rocky Mountain Airways. He held progressive leadership positions in technical operations from Reliability Analyst to Sr. Vice President - Operations.
Bill's aviation and education career began over 30 years ago as a co-op engineer for Delta Air Lines. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech's Aerospace Engineering program and holds a Masters degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
